In ancient times, when Man and animas communicated as equals, a crack in the earth erupted. The crevice grew wider and wider, seperating them, and just before it became too large to traverse, the dog alone jumped pver the chasm, so he could stay with Man.
This is the land of those left behind, the wild animals, wh at first missed Man's wisdom, wit and great kindness. Eventually they began to forget, as generations were born. They had seperated into mass territories, and then subdivided them into even smaller territories. Occasionally they will see Man from across the crevice. Even more often were the regretful, pitiful howls of those poor dogs, now abused, by the very Man they had abandoned their freedom for.

though hands touch nothing.
An eternity spent in pain,
hearts ripped open, stolen moments.
Lives on hold, waiting for the moment,
waiting for a time to hold.
That special person, the one true love,
who will live, lost and alone. |
